Arrive five minutes early
Please arrive about five minutes before your appointment so there is time for paperwork and a conversation about your session.
YOUR FIRST VISIT
Your first massage should not feel uncertain or intimidating. Here is how the visit works, what choices are always yours, and the answers to questions people sometimes hesitate to ask.
There is nothing you need to prepare perfectly before you arrive.
We’ll take the first few minutes to decide what feels right together.FINDING THE BENESSERE

FROM ARRIVAL TO AFTERCARE
Complete your intake information and share any relevant health history, current discomfort, injuries, or areas you would prefer not to have worked.
We’ll discuss what brings you in, what you hope to get from the massage, pressure preferences, and whether the session should be focused, more complete, or primarily restorative.
I’ll step out while you prepare for the session. You undress only to your comfort level and position yourself beneath the sheet and blanket before I return.
Pressure, pace, techniques, and areas of focus can change as we go. You are always welcome to ask for more or less pressure, more warmth, a different position, or a change in focus.
You’ll have privacy to get dressed. If useful, we can briefly discuss how the session felt and what may make sense for future care—without pressure to commit to a treatment plan.
YOU REMAIN IN CONTROL
Massage is collaborative. Consent is ongoing, not something that happens only at the beginning. You may change your mind, ask a question, request that an area be avoided, or end the session at any point.
Clear feedback is never an inconvenience. It helps me give you better care.
You decide your level of undress.
Only the area being worked is uncovered.
You can change pressure or focus at any time.
You may talk, rest quietly, or move between both.
WHAT SHOULD I BOOK?
It gives us room for a thoughtful conversation, focused work, and a broader massage without trying to fit everything into a rushed hour. Sixty minutes can still be a good choice when you have one primary concern or prefer a shorter introduction.

DURING YOUR MASSAGE
Therapeutic work may feel focused or intense at times, but it should remain productive and within a range that feels manageable to you. More pressure is not automatically more effective.
I may check in when something changes or when feedback would be useful. You do not need to keep a conversation going, and you never need to apologize for speaking up.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No. Tell me what you have been experiencing and what you want from the session. I’ll help choose the techniques, pace, and focus that make sense.
Wear whatever is comfortable for arriving and leaving. For a traditional massage, you will have privacy to undress to your comfort level. Craniosacral therapy and reflexology are generally received clothed.
You do not need to avoid food entirely, but most people are more comfortable allowing time after a large or heavy meal. Arriving normally hydrated is sufficient.
Please mention relevant injuries, surgeries, health conditions, medications, pregnancy, skin concerns, allergies, or new and unexplained symptoms. You can also identify areas you do not want massaged.
Only as much as you are comfortable removing. The massage can be adapted around clothing that remains on, though it may change which techniques are practical.
You remain covered by a sheet and blanket. Only the area being worked is uncovered and it is covered again before moving to another area. Professional boundaries and secure draping are maintained throughout the session.
Absolutely. You may set or change boundaries at any time, for any reason. We can work around an area or adjust the plan entirely.
Please say so. Temperature, positioning, pressure, bolstering, music, and the session plan can often be adjusted quickly.
Only if you want to. Some clients enjoy conversation, some prefer quiet, and many move naturally between both. There is no social expectation to fill the silence.
It may feel strong or focused, but pain is not the goal and more intensity is not always more useful. Tell me if the pressure feels sharp, overwhelming, or causes you to brace or hold your breath.
Those are normal responses during relaxation. You do not need to feel embarrassed or apologize.
Yes. Consent is ongoing. You can request a change, decline a technique, ask that an area be covered, or end the session at any time.
Many people feel relaxed, lighter, or more mobile. Some notice temporary tenderness or fatigue after focused work. Responses vary, and we can adjust future sessions based on how your body responds.
Return to your normal day thoughtfully. Drink according to your usual needs, notice how you feel, and choose movement or rest based on what is comfortable. Extreme amounts of water are not necessary.
There is no universal schedule. Frequency depends on your goals, response, preferences, and budget. I can offer a recommendation, but ongoing care is always your decision.
Massage does not diagnose or replace medical treatment. New injuries, severe or unexplained pain, neurological symptoms, signs of infection, or other concerning changes should be evaluated by an appropriate healthcare professional.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session time may be charged 50% of the session price.
Your appointment is reserved for a specific period of time. If you arrive late, the session will still need to end at its originally scheduled time, and the missed time will count as part of your appointment. If I am running behind, you will still receive your full hands-on session time.
All major debit and credit cards are accepted, and you are also welcome to pay with cash.
Gratuity is never expected, but it is always appreciated. Because a gratuity needs to be entered before checkout is completed, please let me know before payment if you would like to add one.
HAVE A QUESTION THAT ISN’T HERE?
